A - Learning Outcome 1

 Recently I had the opportunity to put a skill to use that I had always wanted to. I was going with my friend to the store to get blueberries to take to their sibling. On the way one of the tires popped and we had to pull off onto a side street to take a look. I was excited because I knew how to change a tire and I wanted to use that ability, otherwise it was quite unfortunate. Once we checked the back to start changing the tire I realized we didn't have a car jack so it was impossible to change the tire, so I suggested we go back to my house since it was close and use the car jack in my moms car. Unfortunately it wasn't until we got to my house very slowly with a flat tire that I remembered I had been home alone before my friend picked me up and the car wasn't there with the jack. So then we awkwardly asked the neighbor for a car jack and they were nice and helped us out, so in about 25 minutes we had a new tire on the car and it was quite fun, although we had to improvise...

S - Learning Outcome 6

 This past week I was able to participate in a service event where we were preparing food for hungry people over Thanksgiving. It was nice because we were working on a project that tackles hunger which is happening all over the world and affects millions of people. We had a group of people that was unloading the raw turkeys from a truck that had shipped a lot of them to where we were working. Another group was unpacking them and cutting them in half so they would be easier to cook. A third group was seasoning them and transporting them to the large smokers that we were using to cook them as efficiently as possible. There were a couple of hours that were slower because the smokers were full so we were waiting for a group of the turkeys to be cooked so we could put the next group in. There was also a group working inside packaging vegetables and mashed potatoes and other sides so they could be delivered with the turkey.
