A - Learning Outcome 2

 This weekend I attended the Astroworld festival as a vendor of popsicles. This was my first time working with this company and I was a little bit nervous as I was a last minute addition with little experience. Once I arrived I was assigned a popsicle stand where I stayed and sold popsicles throughout the evening. I was scared to take on this challenge because I didn't have a good idea of what to expect but as time went on I really got the hang of it. This was a difficult task for me especially because I am also an introvert and this was a popular festival with over 100,000 people in attendance. I had the chance to interact with a lot of new people and talk to them about a variety of topics, other than popsicles, and feel like I was able to come out of my shell a little bit. I sold popsicles with a friend for about 5 hours, during this time there was a period where I was working the stand all alone and I feel like I got a lot better at talking to people and being a good salesman in general. At the end of the day, I was able to take on the challenge of being a salesperson, something I had never done before, and I left the concert with more people skills and a feeling of confidence in my ability to work.

A - Learning Outcome 7

These past few weeks I have been carpooling to and from school with Andreas Cantu on Thursdays. We do this so that we can get to school and it is easier for his parents as well because this way I can take him to school and to volleyball practice in the afternoon and then back home. This past week I also drove him to volleyball practice on Tuesday because he didn't have a ride and I had a little bit of time after school ended to go pick him up and then get to the Bissonnet campus on time. I consider these carpools very ethical because it not only is better for Andreas to have a ride who has the same schedule as him, but also it is very effective in limiting carbon emissions since we are cutting in half the number of cars it would take to transport us both to school. It is also ethical because it saves his parents a couple of trips back and forth because they both work closer to the Bissonnet campus and I don't want them to be driving back and forth all day.

S - Learning Outcome 6

 This past week I was able to participate in a service event where we were preparing food for hungry people over Thanksgiving. It was nice because we were working on a project that tackles hunger which is happening all over the world and affects millions of people. We had a group of people that was unloading the raw turkeys from a truck that had shipped a lot of them to where we were working. Another group was unpacking them and cutting them in half so they would be easier to cook. A third group was seasoning them and transporting them to the large smokers that we were using to cook them as efficiently as possible. There were a couple of hours that were slower because the smokers were full so we were waiting for a group of the turkeys to be cooked so we could put the next group in. There was also a group working inside packaging vegetables and mashed potatoes and other sides so they could be delivered with the turkey. A - Learning Outcome 1

 Recently I had the opportunity to put a skill to use that I had always wanted to. I was going with my friend to the store to get blueberries to take to their sibling. On the way one of the tires popped and we had to pull off onto a side street to take a look. I was excited because I knew how to change a tire and I wanted to use that ability, otherwise it was quite unfortunate. Once we checked the back to start changing the tire I realized we didn't have a car jack so it was impossible to change the tire, so I suggested we go back to my house since it was close and use the car jack in my moms car. Unfortunately it wasn't until we got to my house very slowly with a flat tire that I remembered I had been home alone before my friend picked me up and the car wasn't there with the jack. So then we awkwardly asked the neighbor for a car jack and they were nice and helped us out, so in about 25 minutes we had a new tire on the car and it was quite fun, although we had to improvise...
